Pregnancy is a very special time in a woman's life. From the first ultrasound scan to regular check-ups at our practice and through to the birth, we are there to support you every step of the way.

Prenatal diagnostics

We provide comprehensive advice on the options available for prenatal diagnostics and carry out the most important tests directly in our practice.

These include:

• First trimester test (combined nuchal translucency measurement & blood test)
  • First trimester screening for pre-eclampsia
• Non-invasive prenatal test (NIPT)
• Placental biopsy (chorionic villus sampling) (external referral)
• Amniocentesis (external referral)

Pregnancy check-ups

We carry out all recommended pregnancy check-ups in accordance with current guidelines:

• Medical history and advice on nutrition, exercise, travel, vaccinations (RSV, pertussis vaccination, seasonal flu vaccination)
• Regular blood and urine tests
• Blood pressure and weight checks
• Recommended (seasonal) vaccinations (whooping cough, RSV, flu)
• Ultrasound examinations (first trimester screening for pre-eclampsia, first trimester test (ETT), organ screening and growth checks, Doppler ultrasound).
• On request, we can also provide 3D or 4D ultrasound images of your baby, provided the conditions are suitable (image quality depends on the position of the baby and individual circumstances).
• Checking iron levels, blood sugar screening, rhesus factor testing
• Advice on preparing for birth, breastfeeding and the postpartum period

Birth

For patients with semi-private or private insurance, we can offer care as affiliated doctors in various clinics in the city of Zurich. We are happy to refer you to the hospital or clinic of your choice for the birth. For patients with supplementary insurance (semi-private or private), we can offer personal care during birth or caesarean section as affiliated doctors in various clinics (affiliated clinics). Otherwise, there is also the option of a one-time change of insurance.

On request, it is possible to use a window cloth for a planned caesarean section, depending on the maternity clinic. The transparent window allows parents to see their child during the birth and consciously experience the first moments.

Birth preparation

We advise you on birth preparation classes and help you choose the right one for you.
Even if you are planning to have your baby with an affiliated doctor, you can still attend birth preparation classes to ensure you are fully prepared for the big day.

Midwife care & postnatal care

We work closely with midwives for the period after the birth (postnatal care).

This ensures that you and your baby receive expert care at home after you are discharged from the hospital.
